A native of Illinois, I attended undergraduate at Bradley University with degrees in Health Science and Psychology. I earned my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine where I developed a practice model for the integration of occupational therapy into orphanage-like settings.

I currently contract with Wonder Tree to provide SSP services to clients, and provide early intervention care to families through End Picky Eating. Prior to this, I worked at The Center for Connection for eight years where I helped develop the Occupational Therapy department. Much of my twelve year career as an occupational therapist has been rooted in sensory integration theory and practice that fundamentally acknowledges that the brain can actually change through repeated stimulation and experiences (called neuroplasticity). Positive, protective relationships and a regulated state are essential to making those changes.

Learning is truly one of my passions, and I understand that collaborating with an integrated team is the key to holistic care--I offer one of many important pieces to the puzzle. Teaching is another passion of mine, and I am particularly curious about how diet, sleep, screen time, and play contribute to a child reaching his or her full potential. I am available for consultation and professional development with educators, learning specialists, therapists, pediatricians, and other health professionals.

I live in San Marcos, CA with my husband and three young children. You can often find me at local playgrounds, playing at the beach, or exploring Legoland. Aside from being a pediatric occupational therapist, I am a wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend, runner, hiker, bookworm, writer, volunteer, and child of God.
